Caledonian Aeromedical was formed by Drs Chris Lydiatt and Ian Wilson. Both are experienced aviation medical examiners and run individual practices in the North West and North Wales region of the U.K. Having been approached by Scottish-based crews and their airlines, some of whom had been traveling to the North West of England for medicals, they have expanded to try and offer some much needed aviation medical appointment resource to the Glasgow region.
Andrew is a well-established AME in Carlisle and has seen many pilots from Cumbria and Southwest Scotland over the years. He holds a PPL and IMC rating. Having just retired as a GP, he is now able to also offer appointments in Glasgow.
Caledonian Aeromedical is located very close to Glasgow City Centre, just 20 minutes drive from Glasgow Airport. Charing Cross station is just 8 minutes walk, with Glasgow Central 20 minutes. There is ample roadside parking in the vicinity, or alternatively multi-storey car parks within walking distance.
